Membership Levels

New REALTOR® application submissions to the Longleaf Pine REALTORS® are currently being accepted by appointment only. You can submit Secondary, New Company, Reinstatement, and Affiliate Applications via email. If you have any questions or comments about the application process please feel free to contact the Association at (910) 323-1421.

New Agents

A REALTOR® may be a licensed Real Estate Broker (Agent) or Appraiser. If you are newly licensed and your broker-in-charge or Designated REALTOR® has elected to hold membership in the Longleaf Pine REALTORS®, you must also join as a REALTOR® member.


REALTOR® membership is three-tiered. When you join the Longleaf Pine REALTORS®, you also become a member of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. This entitles you to membership benefits at all levels.


Please print the REALTOR® Application Packet below. The information contained in this packet is important, so please read all of it. Once you have read it, complete the REALTOR® membership application included in the packet and have the broker-in-charge or Designated REALTOR® of your office sign it. You will then need to contact the Association office to schedule an appointment to submit your application for membership and pay all applicable fees.

New Company

If you are currently a REALTOR® member and would like to open a new company with the Longleaf Pine REALTORS®, Inc. and join the Longleaf Pine MLS, you must have an active brokers or appraisers license and be a member in good standing.

 

Please print the New Company Application below and return it to the Association office. The set-up fee for a new company is $1000 and must be paid at the time your application is submitted.

Secondary Member

If you are a REALTOR® that holds membership at another Association and would like to join the Longleaf Pine REALTORS®, Inc. and the Longleaf Pine MLS, you must be in good standing with your primary Association and your broker-in-charge or Designated REALTOR® must be a member in good standing with our Association. If so, please print the Secondary Member Packet below. Once you have completed the Secondary Member Information form and obtained a letter of good standing from your primary Association, submit the applicable documents via email by clicking the button below and attaching the required documents. After receiving a confirmation email please call to make the required payment.

 

 

If you are the broker-in-charge or Designated REALTOR® of your office, please print the New Company Application and the Secondary Member Packet. Once you have completed those forms and obtained a letter of good standing from your primary Association, submit the applicable documents via email by clicking the button below and attaching the required documents. After receiving a confirmation email please call to make the required payment. The set-up fee for a new company is $1000 and must be paid along with Secondary Member dues at the time your application is submitted. We now offer access to the MLS without association membership for Secondary REALTORS® only. Please refer to the flow chart below for details.

Affiliates

Affiliate members are individuals that provide products and services related to the real estate industry.

Reinstate Membership

Agents who need a Reinstatement form are individuals that have been pre-existing members with Longleaf Pine REALTORS®. If you have ever been a member with LPR® please print and fill out the form below. You may email it or use the “Submit Applications Here” button. Members who are Reinstating please be aware that if you are joining after being away for longer than two years your dues will be prorated. If you rejoin within the two-year period, the annual dues will not be prorated.

Orientation Course

It is a four and a half hour class that all new applicants to the Longleaf Pine REALTORS® are required to take before being approved for REALTOR® membership.

Yes, if you are a new applicant and have never been a member of the Longleaf Pine REALTORS®.  No, If you were a past member of the Longleaf Pine REALTORS® and have taken the Indoctrination Course some time in the past or if you were an active member of another local Board of REALTORS® in the state of North Carolina.

It fulfills Association membership requirements.  It educates you on the Longleaf Pine REALTORS® Bylaws, MLS Rules and Regulations, and the Code of Ethics.  The course also satisfies the National Association of REALTORS® requirement of a Code of Ethics class to be taken once every three year period (the current 3 year period is January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024).

The Indoctrination/Orientation Course is offered every other month.  You should take the course as soon as possible after submitting your REALTOR® application.

The Director of Membership of the Longleaf Pine REALTORS® will mail a letter to all applicants needing the Indoctrination/Orientation Course. This letter informs you of the date and time that the class will take place.
