Government Funding Deadline Looms

Home Equity Tax Debate Intensifies
Congress is considering several bills to reform capital gains taxes on home sales. The No Tax on Home Sales Act joins the bipartisan More Homes on the Market Act in bringing this issue to the forefront. National Housing Emergency Considered

Homebuyers Privacy Protection Act Becomes Law
Signed September 5, this new law prevents homebuyers from being inundated with unsolicited calls and texts from competing lenders. NAR has long championed this consumer protection. Read more
