Sanford City Council Update

The Sanford City Council approved many agenda items relating to the real estate industry.

• Council adopted the Downtown Sanford Small Area Plan – a long-range plan to guide and shape downtown Sanford.
  
• Approved rezoning of Otter Creek Properties -4.5 acres on Palomino Drive and Dogwood Acres Drive. The rezoning will allow a wider range for residential development for single-family homes.
  
• Approved rezoning for properties along Pegg Street from residential to commercial and office. The approval supports continued commercial growth along this corridor.
  
• Approved rezoning for Rhetson Capital for 14.4 acres on Tramway Road and Cellas Lane from residential to commercial.
  
• Approved rezoning for project Oakton – a proposed mixed -use development on 112 acres along Colon Road.
