Longleaf Pine REALTORS® Invests in the Workforce That Supports Housing in Our Region

Longleaf Pine REALTORS® is proud to announce a $500,000 donation to the FTCC Foundation to support scholarships for skilled trades in the housing industry and the communities we serve. This investment reflects our commitment to supporting not only the success of our members but also the strength and long-term vitality of the communities they serve.

Of the total donation, $150,000 will be directed to the scholarship endowment previously established by LPR, helping create lasting scholarship support for future students. The remaining $350,000 will support funding through the FTCC Foundation for students pursuing workforce pathways in trades connected to housing and property-related industries.

This donation reflects Longleaf Pine REALTORS®’ mission by investing in workforce education that supports the housing industry and helps build a stronger local future. LPR’s mission promotes community support, trusted leadership, professionalism, and ethics, and our charitable giving policy is designed to ensure responsible stewardship and alignment with that mission.

The FTCC Foundation exists to raise financial resources that help students attain their educational and career goals, including through endowed and restricted scholarships. Endowed scholarship funds are structured for long-term support, with the principal invested for ongoing scholarship impact over time. By directing this investment through the FTCC Foundation, LPR is helping expand opportunities for students preparing for careers that directly support housing and community growth.

This donation is intended to support pathways in trades directly connected to industries that help build, maintain, and service homes and communities — including electrical systems, plumbing, building construction, carpentry, and masonry. These are essential fields that help sustain the homes, neighborhoods, and communities our members serve every day.

Importantly, this donation comes from the charitable contributions budget allocated at the beginning of the year and was approved through Longleaf Pine REALTORS®’ formal charitable giving process. That process is designed to ensure that every contribution is reviewed carefully and aligns with our mission, values, and commitment to responsible stewardship.
