Lee County REALTORS® Meet with Congressman Brad Knott

In August, REALTOR® members from across many regions, including Lee County, met with Congressman Brad Knott. Congressman Knott represents Lee, Johnston, Wake, Harnett, Franklin, Caswell, Person, and Grandville counties. REALTORS® spent over an hour discussing bills and authorizations most important to the real estate industry and current challenges facing homeownership and the severe lack of inventory.

Other important issues went beyond real estate, which included addressing important national security concerns that will also affect our communities and our industry.

Congressman Knott showed a particular interest in the overregulation of home construction and neighborhood development, which impacts new home prices and the amount of inventory available to potential buyers.
