Hoke County Sales Tax Increase on November Ballot

A .25 sales tax increase will be on the November general election ballot in Hoke County.

• Currently, Hoke Counties sales tax is 2%
• This is combines with the states sales tax of 4.75%
• The proposed tax increase will total 7%
• Hoke County Commissioners voted to add the increase on the November ballot
• Most Hoke County purchases will use the sales tax
• You do not have to live in Hoke County for this tax to apply, visitors will be charged the tax as well
• The money taxed will go into the Hoke County budget
