DEI Emergency Preparedness Event Empowers REALTORS® to Better Serve Their Communities
Longleaf Pine REALTORS® recently hosted a DEI-focused Emergency Preparedness event in partnership with Cumberland County Emergency Services, bringing together members for an informative and impactful session centered on safety, inclusivity, and community resilience.
The presentation provided practical guidance on how REALTORS® can help clients prepare for emergencies, including developing communication and evacuation plans, assembling go-bags, and staying informed through local alert systems. Attendees also explored how preparedness strategies must account for the diverse needs of individuals and households, ensuring that all community members are supported during critical situations.
Participants received educational materials and resources to share with clients, reinforcing the REALTOR® role as a trusted advisor beyond the transaction.

Sgt Christy Barber – Cumberland County Animal Control Services
