BREAKING NEWS…Senate Passes 21st Century Road to Housing Act (HB 6644)

The Senate has passed HB 664 (21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. This legislation now heads to President Trump’s desk where it will become law.

Highlights of the bill include…

• Bipartisan package to address the nation’s housing needs
• Bill would streamline federal processes that delay construction
• Bill will also modernize financing options and improve access to credit
• Reduce regulatory burdens on builders and developers

America faces a shortage of 4.7 million homes. The vote was 89 to 10. NC Senators Thom Tillis and Ted Bud voted in opposition.
