Fayetteville City Council Update

The Fayetteville City Council approved the following rezoning cases as they pertain to the real estate industry.

Approved the rezoning of 123.48 acres of land behind SteelFAB on Country Club Drive & Distribution Drive from light industrial to heavy industrial. The rezoning is consistent with the 2040 Future Land Use Plan. The portion of the property currently zoned Conservation District will remain unchanged in order to preserve environmentally sensitive areas.

Approved a salvage /junkyard at 610 E. Russell Street

On Monday, the Fayetteville Police and Fire departments presented their second-quarter reports to the City Council. These reports gave Council and our residents an opportunity to hear directly from department leaders about their performance, current trends and the work happening across Fayetteville. The Police Department also celebrated the graduation of 20 cadets from its Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy.
